Oompa Toys: The Oompa Minute v. 17
Hi, my name is Milanie Cleere. I'm the CEO of Oompa Toys. Today is Wednesday, October 1st, 2008. I’m actually standing in what will very soon be the first Oompa Toys retail store. I've been talking about this for many months, and we are very quickly moving towards an opening date. The plumbing is done, the electrical is done, the floors are being finished, and they have started to paint, which means that we are getting very close to opening, which is both exciting and terrifying at the same time. So check back in a week or so and I will be able to tell you exactly when the store will be opening.
Customer Questions
Amanda from New York wrote to us. She works at an architectural firm and would like us to customize some Haba blocks for her. Amanda, first, thank you for thinking of us. However, we're not really in the business of designing or customizing toys for retail clients. I know that Haba will do this for customers on occasion, and for blocks I know that the quantity they require is a few thousand. However, I will happily send you the contact information. You can find it on their website habausa.com and I am sure anyone there will be able to help you.
Kara from Keanes Canyon, Arizona wrote to us and she would like to know how to get a charitable contribution from Oompa Toys. Kara, I am more than happy to contribute to any organization that benefits children. It’s something I look forward to and I feel privileged to be able to do so. However, because of the number of requests that I receive, I have started to have to put a budget, which sounds so adult, but I have started to have to put a budget around charitable contributions.
To be considered, please send me the following via regular mail

- Federal Taxpayer ID
- Event Name
- Purpose
- Number of Attendees or participants
Also note that to be considered for a charitable contribution from Oompa Toys, your organization must be listed as tax exempt as defined under the Internal Revenue code section 5013.
Oompa Highlights P'kolino
P'kolino is one of my favorite children's furnishings company. It was founded by two dads, a JV and Antonio, who I just had the pleasure of meeting with a couple of weeks ago. These two met at an MBA program in Babson, and when they were at their MBA program, they decided they didn't want to work in corporate America. They looked around at the children's furnishings market and they decided that there was a need for ultramodern, well-made children's play furniture. P'kolino has created several new products. These include a toddler bed, play table, a children's desk, a craft table, and a book buggy. To view these and other P'kolino products, visit oompa.com, and click on P'kolino in the left Navigation. Thank you for watching, and taking a peek into the future Oompa toy store.
